With this Blog: Back to Business
OK. For the past two months, I have spent major personal time with my new start-up company: Kashmir Family Aid, a non-profit. KFA is for the benefit of children in the Northern Pakistan and Kashmir regions, the site of the October 8, 2005 earthquake. I used this Blog for the month I was physically over there and after I returned, while we set up our new website(www.kashmirfamily.org). The Kashmir Family Aid website...
...was activated yesterday so I removed most of the Kashmir Family postings from this Centratel Blog and they are on their own Blog now, accessable via the Kashmir Family Aid website address mentioned above. I did leave copies of the first and last KFA postings here, however. The first ("Dispatch #1") was in November. The other ("Dispatch #17"), was posted just a week ago.
So, in the part of my day that I spend on Centratel, I will again add answering service related postings here, where they belong, and they won't have anything to do with Kashmir Family Aid. They are two completely un-related organizations. Sorry about any confusion!

Dispatch #17: Presentations This Week and More Thank Yous
We are still hammering away at the new web site and hope to have it finished by the end of this next week Saturday, Jan 14th. The website is www.kashmirfamily.org and, when completed, will replace this Blog which is meant to be used for Centratel.
I will be speaking at: the Greater Bend Rotary Club at Tuesday's (Jan 10th) noon meeting at the Riverhouse, will make a brief presentation at the Cascades Mountaineers meeting Wednesday at 7pm at the Environmental Center, will be on Good Morning Central Oregon (Bend Cable/Kristi Miller) this Friday (the 13th)
and on Sunday the 22nd at 4:30pm I will be at the Presbyterian Church at 230 NE 9th Street (behind the Bend High athletic fields) for a full presentation. I have over 200 photos to accompany the long presentation at the church.
We are very open to making presentations to your group. The photos are good and it is a promise that your audience will like what I have to say and show...you can mail me at samc@centratel.com or call at 541 385-1970 if you have questions.
Two newspaper articles were published this week: One that petitions the AJK and Pakistani governments into install high-speed internet into Muzaffarabad. This article is in the Pakistani international newsweekly The Friday Times (email me at samc@centratel.com if you want to read it. I will send it to you). The other article is entitled The Ali's Tent and appeared in last week's The Source (www.tsweekly.com), published here in Bend. Thank you again to News Editor Bruce Miller for publishing this as a feature story and for also giving us the cover photo.
Thanks again to John Krog and Adventure Joe www.adventurejoe.com) for continued support and enthusiasm. Thanks especially to Kevin Freihoefer for his work to assist Mt. Bachelor Rotary to raise a rather large (but as yet undetermined) sum to become available soon. It will be used for the Nellum Valley school I discussed in
dispatch #15.
I again want to thank A.P.& M Sandner for their very generous donation of $2,000 back on December 20th.

Michaels, $40 (dedication to Elisabeth Gillem); J&C Speckmann, $50; M. Brenneman, $200; T. P. Martin & M. Monahan, $50; .Mt.
